Choosing a destination: in this Blog I will explain that you can choose nearly anywhere that you want to go on vacation regardless of your income level as long as you book far in advance and how to want to get there enough that you will make it happen!
Choosing a Destination.
This is by far the most important thing of your trip, where you want to go, taking a trip is honestly one of the best things that you can do for yourself and your family. It is therapeutic and very good for your relationship with your spouse and your family. One of the key elements in choosing where you want to go is; If you do not like to be in the cold then do not pick going to Alaska, just not a good choice for you. If you hate the heat then going to South America in August is most likely not your best choice. For illustrative purposes in this book I am going to walk you through my trip that I just went on is Walt Disney world in Florida. We decided that we really wanted to take our Children to enjoy the wonders of Disney World. The fist thing that we needed to do was picking a time to go. We decided in October that that Disney was the destination of choice so we decided to go in January or February of the following year, thus giving us 15 months to plan this. This is by far the best way to plan your holiday. “Those who rush pay to much” is my motto. Think of it this way. Which is better to decide that you want a holiday that is going to cost you thousands of dollars two months before, you and not have the adequate time to plan and pay it off or deciding to go a year before and planning your budget and saving money before you go.
This way I can choose the best way to have this entire trip paid off before we get there and without loading up the credit cards. After all a true vacation should be worry free and not have to stress about how you are going to pay for it. We decided To go in January or early February because first of all the weather is not hot, and there is nothing worse in my opinion then melting while waiting in line for a ride and being unable to get in the shade to cool off. Or to go in 70 degree weather and be able to fully enjoy your day. The other reason was that it was value season there, so A) The crowds were less, we can see more in a shorter period of time without banging into people and B) The accommodations will much cheaper per night. All this comes into play in the next chapter planning the best vacation for you.
One of my dream Vacations is to go on a trip to Hawaii, which my Husband and I are in the middle of planning for our 20th wedding anniversary. The other dream spot is the south pacific, this to me looks like paradise. To stay in the huts right on the ocean would be amazing to me. Having the breeze flow over you while you are lying on the beach would be just wonderful. This trip would take considerable planning to achieve because one night will cost about $700.00 but it is not unconceivable. Even on one income that we live off of and four children that we are raising by using advance planning. That is the key to everything in this book. If cruises are your thing, this is a great thing too because all of your meals are included and the only thing you have to think about is tips and souvenirs, which is a really nice way to go.
